Steven W. Thrasher
Steven William Thrasher is an American journalist and academic. In 2019, he became the inaugural Daniel H. Renberg Chair of social justice in reporting and an assistant professor of journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. In 2012, he won the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association Journalist of the Year award. His first book, The Viral Underclass, was published in 2022. His second, The Overseer Class, was published in 2026.
